Bill Sadlo was recently elected to the Board of Directors for the Florida Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs. Sadlo represents Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties, where he has served as President and CEO since 2011 and leads the organization's work to provide opportunities for young people across the two-county region.
Sadlo brings nearly four decades of experience within the Boys & Girls Club Movement—and a connection to the mission that began long before his professional career. At eight years old, he became a member of the Fruitville Boys Club, now the Lee Wetherington Boys & Girls Club. While attending college, he returned to the Club as a summer counselor before joining the organization full time after earning his bachelor's degree in Secondary Education from the University of South Florida in 1992. Over the years, Sadlo served in nearly every area of the organization, including as Program Director, Area Director and Chief Operating Officer, before becoming President and CEO.
“Bill has dedicated his career to expanding opportunities for young people, and his experience at nearly every level of the Boys & Girls Clubs Movement gives him a unique and valuable perspective,” said Joe Davis, Executive Director of the Florida Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs. “He understands both the life-changing impact Clubs have on young people and the importance of ensuring local organizations have the resources they need to deepen that impact. We are excited to welcome Bill’s leadership, experience, and commitment to the Alliance Board."
Sadlo joins a statewide Board of Directors united in its mission to support and elevate Florida’s Boys & Girls Clubs through advocacy, resource development, and community partnerships.
