The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Suncoast is proud to announce that long-time supporter and friend to the Clubs, Retired Sheriff Jim Coats, was named the first Lightning Community Hero of the Tampa Bay Lightning season.
Mr. Coats received a $50,000 donation from the Lightning Foundation and the Lightning Community Heroes program, which was donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Suncoast and the Pinellas County Sheriff Police Athletic League.
We want to thank Jim for his tireless efforts, not only during his time as Sheriff of Pinellas County, but also for his many years of service to our youth and organization!
